The creek got his name after Simon Venzin — one of builders of Piotr and Pavel monastery on Kola (constructed in XVI century). About Venzin wrote one Dutch merchant — Simon vann Salingen visited Kola this time.
The source of creek is lake Nizhniy Venzin (112.5 m above the sea level), the estuary — Kola gulf.
The length is 4 400 m.
Venzin creek looks like a stony stair, drops at 25 meters on each kilometer.
Along the creek paved the touristic route, around 12-14 km long, taking 1-2 days with overnight stay near the Nizhnee Venzin lake.
